Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Hampton Rodriguez (he/him) is a Portland-based visual artist whose practice combines drawing, illustration, painting, and the use of recycled materials in contemporary collage. His project, Aquí Estamos/Here We Are, is a bilingual portrait book honoring individuals whose work and leadership strengthen Oregon’s social fabric, and he envisions the book as a cultural document that preserves stories, expands visibility, and fosters dignity, belonging, and dialogue.
